Happy New Year;
I'm going to keep the ride location at Mont Alto again this Sunday due to conditions. Ride Time 9am. There will be man cards handed out for those who show. So far Me and Wit each have one for our showing and riding last Sunday. I didn't know we had so many sissies in our group!
I hiked Mont Alto yesterday. Saw your tracks on Wayne's Trail. It was the only place I saw tire tracks. You and Sue are so hardcore.
ReplyDeletehey we did four logs too. Hiked!!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry chief, wasn't giving you a hard time. Just saying the only tracks on the mountain were yours!

ReplyDeleteRide report--Couldn't be better. It was a brisk 9 degrees with a bit of a breeze at the start and warmed up to 16 by the end. The fire roads had a nice thick coat of ice on them. The snow was generally untracked. Sue and Dale and I rode for nearly 10 miles. The single track we did which included 4 logs, turtle, hogs head, coal hearth and Park trail, was great fun in the snow. It may be that the 29er provides better traction in the snow than 26" wheels. Studs were essential for the climbs up Staley and Rothrock(?) Probably not so necessary for the snow covered single track. You couch potatoes need to show up for the next winter ride.
