  3. I have a mtb loop in mind. Start from Woodrow Rd/233 and do Lower Grave, Upper Grave and some Enduro trails. There's not much climbing and it's not as technical as Mackey Run. It's waaaaaaay better than riding boring, old fire roads!!! Or we could climb Dead Womans 3-4 times...

  4. Sounds good, exactly where do you plan on parking? The mud bank pull off/lot past Woodrow on left or somewhere else? Will 4:30 work for everyone? Sorry Ruth but I`m not too crazy about riding "boring, old fire roads" either. So come on out and hit some trails, woman!

  6. There's a little pull-off on the corner of Woodrow and 233. Don't block the yellow gate.

  10. Nice ride tonight except for when Joel and I both flatted on the same rock about 3 seconds apart. On my way home, about a quarter mile from where we parked, I had to slow down to avoid hitting what at first I thought to be a large shaggy black dog but actually turned out to be a black bear! Yes! It`s great to have finally seen one in person in Michaux!

  11. Ho - you should have taken the bear home. They make great house pets!

I'm glad you guys liked that loop tonight. I'll try to think of something good for next Tuesday.

Hi! This may not be the best place to ask, but I am new to mountain biking and want to know if there are any beginner rides scheduled?

  15. Any ride that Mooch or Nevada does is a beginner ride! j/k

There were the Tuesday Night Back of the Pack rides that were good for beginners. Some Thursday night rides and Sunday rides are good for beginners. It really just depends on who shows up.

Post a comment on the Sunday ride. You can probably do Abbi with the group and cut out before Camp Trails.
