First Ride

Mike and I rode 13 miles this morning on the Shippensburg rail/trail and a short distance on the road. I got the OK on Tuesday to road rode, but NO out of the saddle riding yet! I was really excited, yes... this is my excitement. I felt great! Only slightly sketchy unclipping with the injured foot, but just need to keep working at it. It is actually easier to ride than it is to walk at this point. The ride wasn't very rocky either.....

Thanksgiving Day Ride

Who wants to ride Thursday morning at 9AM-ish?

I can ride starting from Mont Alto or anywhere north of there. I have to be in Carlisle by 1pm to uhhh increase the effect of gravity on my descending.

Wed night ride at Mont Alto

Stumphumper and I are riding from Mont Alto on Wed night at 5:15. No ride if it's raining! If it does rain Chris has invited everyone over for a pajama party and to watch "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" and/or "Sex in the City" with him.

UPDATE: Chris says, "You got it all wrong. I told you I have an advance copy of “The Secret Life of Bees”. Pajamas are optional."

Rear Wheel Clinic

the winter version of the skills clinic happened today at Chambersburg's new 4th Street Skate/Bike Park in 27 degree temps and a few snow flurries.
many of the features had a rime ice coating that we deemed "The Michaux Effect".

we worked on getting up and down these boxes without being clipped in,
this is what we were here to do

then Brett and Jody took it to the skinny rails and up a notch

it didn't always end so smoothly

the instructor messes around (as always)

Last sunday Sue stop to say hi and give us cookies at start of ride. Thankyou Sue for cookies they taste great, glad we did not have to share them with stumphumper.

Sunday will be at Mont Alto. Ride time 9am. I won't be there because Mountain Safety training starts this Sunday for up and coming ski season. Have fun and be careful.

Wed night ride with "No Friends"

Chris and I are riding from Mont Alto Wednesday night at 5:30. Please don't be late. We leave at 5:30. I hate it when you people are late!

I might get there at 5:00 to ride with Sally. If so, we'll climb the fire roads and descend Buckets where we'll meet Chris and all his friends at Shelf. I'll update the blog if I'm starting at 5:00.

Chris "No Friends" Bratthauar and I are riding from Mont Alto at 5:15-ish tonight. Chris might be running a little late. I might get there a couple minutes late too but that pretty much goes without saying.
