I only want to ride my mountain bike! I just moved to Harrisburg and would like to meet some people to show me the best places around. Sunday's usually a good day for me...anything going on this weekend? Who do I contact to get the inside scoop? I can be reached at stacylynngery@gmail.com. Hope to hear from you. Stacy PS What's Teaberry?
Teaberry is a race in southern Michaux, starting from Teaberry Road.
Look for a mysterious Outlaw and a trailmaster to be attempting a Caledonia to Gambrill ride on Sunday. If you see them, approach with care, and don't offer them food.
Our Weds. Night Northern ride leader and I may try to intercept their journey and poke sticks at them.
Seems like it could be crowded in the southern woods this weekend.
I found out tonight I'll have to ride Saturday since my boys have football games Sunday. My plan will be to ride the Teaberry 10 mile loop since I'm signed up for the 10 mile race. If anyone has any tips on landmark road crossings or GPS coordinates please let me know. I do have the map from the race site but since I've never ridden it before any help is appreciated. I'll be out at Teaberry road 9am Saturday.
Scott, It might still be marked from the Girls ride a couple weeks ago. Look for pink ribbon and moto tracks.
Take the map along, one problem with using the map is it's not always obvious whether you should be on a road or a trail due to the thick green line obscuring what's underneath. You'll be on a few roads, and the trick is always knowing which trees to turn into.
I'll send you an email and hook you up for the NorChaux rides we do. Do you have lights? We do Wednesday night rides pretty much all year and weekend rides at different places.
I would like to do Teaberry 50 sunday at 9 or earlier.I did the 25last year so I assume that the start is the same.I do not know the course. Thanks Dennis
I would like to do Teaberry Sunday morning 9 is ok earlier is better.I don,t know the course.I did the 25 last year so I know where it started.I would like to do the 50 or at least some of it.Dennis 717 965 7426
Scott the race for the 25miler last year start was as follows. As you enter the parking area on the right off Teaberry rd there is a fire road immediately on your right. You follow it down parallel to where you came up on teaberry about 100yards and make a right crossing over teaberry rd on to another fire road. That should get you started. Good luck Dennis
Hey Crashedagain, I will meet you at teaberry if you would still like to lead the ride sunday morning.I may have a couple guys with me. Thanks Dennis 717 965 7426
