The Shed Claims A Victim

Say a prayer, send positive thoughts, turn to the east and bow to the sun.....do whatever you feel appropriate to wish Greg a speedy recovery. He took a hard crash today on the group ride at the Shed. He'll be lucky if he only cracked some ribs. Did a pretty hard face plant into a rock. All in all it could have been much worse. Many thanks to Chuck for the speedy climb to the Greg's truck and to Trish for driving him to the hospital.

Hope you're doing ok Greg!

  1. I hope it's nothing serious. Like kissing a rock isn't serious enough. And make sure to ask for extra pain pills Greg, ribs take forever to heal.

  3. Hope you aren't hurt to bad Greg. I guess I better get back as ride leader because I never let things like this happen. The other leaders ride to fast and that makes other riders try to keep up and this is what happens. I'll be in-touch with the native gods and wish you a speedy recovery

  5. Yea, prayers to Greg.

Chief - looking forward to your return, but I don't think pace had anything to do with this. We saw many mossy rocks today, and I think one was in the wrong place.

Nice ride, but it does keep things in perspective.

  10. Thanks for all of the well-wishes, I guess they worked.

I spent the day at FMH and after all of the Xrays, CT and other test, the only thing that needed to be repaired was that my lower lip needed to be stitched back to my gum. No broken ribs, no broken jaw, no broken collarbone.

I'm feeling much better today, after finally getting some (liquid) food in me. Drugs help too. Already this morning, I was thinking of when I could ride my bike again.

Thanks to all, for helping me out. A special thanks to Trish & Chuck for getting me & my truck to the hospital. Sorry to be the buzzkill on what was an enjoyable ride. I hope the rest of the ride was my less eventful.

    Greg
