My understanding is that Trek was to offer "Gary Fisher Line" of bikes; now distributed thru trek dealerships; rather than an exclusive line. IE: Sold thru In-Gear; etc.; rather than exclusively thru Holmes. Gary Fisher even made news comments about this recent change in marketing his bikes. But perhaps the story has changed over the last few weeks!

  5. Mmmm...pork sausage links.

This is like Datsun...to Datsun by Nissan...and now it's just Nissan. The Fisher name will fade away. Whatever. Just so I can get a new frame when mine breaks.

  6. What no bacon comments?

  7. Buckcheese as much as you've been riding lately those frames will last a long time.

  8. Tru dat, Clown! For some reason I just can't get into it this year. I've been thinking about selling my bikes.

Now that the Fisher brand is dead you can label them as'vintage' and sell them for a HUGE profit.

  10. Buc! Sell your bikes???!!! say it aint so! Just back it down a notch and come ride with the Tuesday crowd. All the bacon and more BS!

  11. Bucsexy - I am with prohpet. Say it aint so! The more sarcasm on the trial the better.

  14. I have a greg lemond road bike who trek dropped in 2008.

I was told my warrent issues are covered for life by trek now.

Hope with the GF warrenties trek will replace them for owners. I'm pretty sure they will. But if i owned one i asked my LBS about it.

Wonder if trek drop Gary klein now as well.

  15. I'm not sure what to do. Biking hasn't been fun in a while. I can't even get excited about doing the Michaux races. I find myself staying up late at night eating chocolate covered bacon.

  16. Bucchucky,
before you give up on biking, go ride Raystown. If that doesn't return the stoke, then you truly are over it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Joel and I talked about going to Raystown. I'd like to give it a try. I'm not someone who gives up easily.

  18. I'm up for a Raystown 'Trek'

  19. Mixing up riding locations definitely helps keep the fire burning.

  21. I tried mixing things up yesterday. I wanted to ride with someone with limited bike skills so I emailed Mooch.

Yeah, thanks for the email buc - but I didn't feel like riding that slow.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Haha. I will try to get faster so I can keep up. ROTFLMAO!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'll try to keep riding. I don't want to give up. Does anybody want to ride tomorrow? Post here or send me an email. I replied to an old riding buddy but haven't heard back.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Bucsexy - I emailed you. If we can work something out please do not bring the guy with the limited skills.

  26. Johnny Utah and I are riding somewhere tomorrow after 3:30. I'll post the info when we decide.

Just remember which one is the front brake Utah. And keep your weight back... :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Mooch - You need to keep your weight forward to maximize braking on desents.

Utah can't ride. He chipped a nail. If anybody wants to ride (road or mtn) please post something here.

    I want to...

    shake it shake it

    I want to...

    shake it shake it

Who gives up riding a bike? Seriously? Go traveling for new trails!

  30. Alright.
So can I just make it official that I agree with Bucky.
Get rid of the stupid anonymous posts.
    They are stupid.
    Seriously.
If cheezy wants to take a little time off the bike he's allowed to -- it's probably healthy. As if an anonymous with a "shake it, shake it" posting should really have any say in the matter.
    Seriously stupid.

If you dont feel like riding then dont ride. The urge will come back. Just don't get too fat and out of shape. It's tougher to drop pounds and regain fitness as you age.

  32. Mooch - if I was as skilled as bucsexy at the acronyms I would put something about laughing, but seeing as how I had to look up what his acronym meant I will not be doing that.

I need non-chipped nails to be able to ride. Hopefully next time.

DRW, I see you lack humor in a thread that means has no meaning. No one is holding a gun to the Buc's head and telling him to ride if he doesn't want to.

Let's not turn this into another "who should post" argument because that would be the 3rd time the thread goes off topic.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Anonymous11:42 AM

Damnit... I made a typo... DRW will now have the upper hand in why I fail. Damn this INTERNET!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Take it easy on drw. He's a little on edge because his Cosmo is late. Somebody get him another Zima!

    ReplyDelete
  36. See?
Once again: it just adds so much substance to the conversation.
    Yeah, buc, it's late again.
I've tried home-brewed zima. Just not the same.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Anonymous8:57 PM

If you say "Zima" with a lisp while you are drinking it supposedly it tastes better. Supposedly. I wouldn't know. I swear. Yeah. Never touch the stuff. But it is fun to say. "Zima".

How's that for off topic, bitches.
