Due to the fact that one of my vehicles betrayed me and left the fam stranded in Hagtown yesterday afternoon I wasn't able to make the normal MBM Thursday night ride. Needless to say, I was pissed with the sweet, September like temps.
So I took the day off today. Couldn't find anyone to ride with so I did a little solo time up in Mont Alto. Beautiful day, isn't it?
Let's play a little game of 'Where's Mooch?' See if you can identify each of the areas below on my loop around Mont Alto.
A)
B)
C)
D)
E)
To the winner goes a slightly used 29r tube with very patchable holes...
road, trail, trail with tree, trail with rock, more trail.
ReplyDeletei win.
Not specific enough, so you win second prize - which is a 26" tube with very patchable holes...
ReplyDeletethat's as specific as you get with trails in michaux. i really probably should have left out the descriptors of trees and rocks. can't give too much away, you know.
ReplyDeleteI don't recognize any of that. Have I ever been on any of it? I must get out more....
ReplyDeleteOK fine, here's the answers: access for log trucks, logged a while ago, not logged yet, not logged yet either, painted for logging sometime soon.
ReplyDeleteA) Staley intersection that can take you up to the top of Buckets/bottom of Coal Hearth
ReplyDeleteB) ???
C) Tower Trail
D) Crumble
E) Turtle
Dang buc, nice work!
ReplyDeleteB is the start to a trail we rarely ride with the initials CW.
Col Wiestling?
ReplyDeleteLove the answers Brett!
ReplyDeleteNice color on that bike Mooch. Sorry you could not make it Thursday. However, we did not want to ride slow so it worked out well.
I managed four logs uphill with no wrecks!! The key I found it just don't use the brake and go uphill.
