I heard that Seven Springs approached the state of PA and offered to lease land for a new mountain bike park. I also heard that DCNR suggested Michaux based on data compiled from permit sales and race attendance.
The area between Caledonia, ridge road and 233 has been leased to Seven Springs. The area will be logged, which has already begun, and then Seven Springs will put in five down hill and eight all mountain trails with three lifts. This will all surround the two campgrounds and the Appalachian Trail. This is for real!!!!
They are surveying the area and in the next few weeks expect fences and signage to go up. Ride it while you can. Its a done deal. The state is broke and this is better than clear cutting to the make money.
That's why they are revoking race permits which allows courses in that area.
    Dark Hollow is next!!!

It's got to do with money, but nothing to do with Seven Springs
