Report Trail Work Hours

All of the trail work hours from the Wildcat reroute have been neatly logged and sent to me by Brett. (BTW thanks Brett)
Other than that, I know that my records are not up to date.
I am urging anyone who has pulled any additional hours of trail work to please list them under a comment below.
Be sure to include your name, approximate dates and trail names or at least the area in which the trails are located.

Thanks, Howard

  13. Anonymous needs to man up and at least throw some first names out along with the hours, or email me.

  14. . . . time to disable the 'anonymous' feature. It has never and will never add anything productive to any discussion.
I'd hate to have an anonymous chime in on any important conversations like whether or not the jersey suggestions seen here are "set in stone" -Haha.

  16. Hey, there we go.

Anyway, we're more than happy to report trailwork hours, but that reporting needs to be truthful, so we need names, too. No issues if Anonymous doesn't want to post a name here but an email to Howard would be great. More than willing to welcome people to ride/work/post-ride/etc with the club. So send an email, Anonymous. If that's too much work, then it's doubtful you wish to do more than stir the pot.

    How about it?

  18. We need to make DCNR aware that we, as mountain bikers are out there doing our part.
We receive a lot of bogus anonymous posts here on our blog so, if your trail work is legit, send the hours to me in an email and we will be sure that they are accounted for. It helps to at least have some first names to go along with the hours.
Most of the trails in the Vista area are clear thanks to Ol` Chief Choppawa and his handsaw henchmen, that`s us.

  19. Hey, Anon, not implying you're not doing trailwork--don't take it that way. I think it's awesome you guys are doing what you're doing. We all pitch in where and when we can. You said earlier to apply your time to someone else--I'm saying that isn't really right if we get questioned about hours and such. We need to be able to backup what we report to DCNR each year.

That's why if you want to have your effort logged, you should email Howard. If you don't care if your hours are tracked, then don't email him. No problem. Lots of people do work in the forest that isn't reported. However, please don't think that no one else is doing anything. We are. It's one of the functions of the club and we'll always welcome new people that want to lend a hand.

But Howard is right, we often get Anon posts on here that are not constructive, which is why we're kinda careful.

All that being said, how long ago did you ride Stony? Before or after the closure? I may know the person you quoted.

And when you say "the lakes", do you mean the furnace stack or a different parking lot?
