Is there a plan for the ride? I was thinking it would be nice to do new-wildcat and Abby. We may catch a little mtec to spectate around the reservoir. Also, for anyone interested in a longer ride, I was considering adding a loop from the lot and do 3mile and down deerbingo and jakes and hitting happy hr and back up the atv trail.
I'll be there and interested in the extended loop.
The Big Flat parking lot is on Shippensburg road west of Route 233. It is a left hand turn if you are heading north on 233 from Caledonia. Go to top of mountain and turn left on Birch Run road. Parking lots are right there.
Twenty people showed up for the ride!!! Maybe the clock being turned back gave everyone more time to get there? Mooch decided the weather was so nice he went for a swim in the reservoir (with some help from a branch). Too bad I did not have a video camera.
Trails were in good shape. The trees in the higher elevations had lost most of their leaves prior to the storm, so they didn`t hold nearly as much wet snow as trees with leaves and in turn, didn`t sustain as much damage.
