I am almost certain I will be able to make this ride (wife and kiddo out of town), but was wondering what the trail conditions would be like? With the snowmelt and rain, will it be a quagmire, or will the central PA rocks persevere? If the trails are in bad shape I may do some road or fireroad riding and take the dog for a hike instead.
I rode this morning before the rain and the trails were in good condition. Some snow on the north sides of the ridges but the rain will take care of that.
Michaux trails recover quickly even from heavy rain. No significant rain with breezy and partly sunny conditions between now and Sunday should have the trails in great shape by Sunday's ride.
