We had a great ride yesterday with an excellent group! We pretty much rode the second half of the maximus 40 in a nice light rain. Finishing 20+ miles of singletrack in that weather with a group of 8 intact is a good day on the bikes. Thanks to those who rode and those who were helpful in keeping the group running smoothly. We had some new faces and very few of the 'regulars' - thanks for coming out! Photo to follow (once I get it off my phone).
I'm thinking of starting from Bendersville Lot this Sunday and riding the first half of maximus. Yes, that means climbing DeadWomansHollow, but I've had some requests for 3miletrail, so we will make that happen!
Thanks for letting me ride with you yesterday. Had a great time and improved my skills.
ReplyDeleteHad fun meeting the new folks. Was a fun and challenging ride.
ReplyDeleteI like the 20+ mile rides! Looking forward to 3mile and maybe adding some others that weren't in the race.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably do the same this week as in riding a little early if anyone wants to join me at 0800 for an early start.
ReplyDeleteGroup intact? that's not the ride report I got? I heard you 80/20ed Sue right out of the gate.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a long over due a and b ride should be put into play. Jody and sue are B riders and everyone else is an A rider.
ReplyDeleteWell "anonymous," we were very concerned for Sue. We stopped 10 mins into the ride when we didn't even know we had lost her. The person in front of her stated that she was right behind him and it was unclear why she wasn't with us. We sent 3-4 groups back to find her until we finally sent Dave back to the lot to see if she was there. They eventually connected and thankfully she wasn't hurt. It was a simple mistake that was completely unintentional and I'm glad she's okay.
ReplyDeleteI am not an A or B rider. I am an FU rider.
ReplyDeleteYes we all know you are not much of A rider.
ReplyDeleteWell, duh.
ReplyDeleteWait, what does "80/20ed" mean? I know, I just want to see if you guys know.
ReplyDeleteMake all the jokes you want. They'll be at the Donut ride next week.
