Saturday ride?

I won't be able to make it to Sunday's ride because I'll have family in town. Is anyone up for a Saturday morning or early afternoon ride? I was contemplating going north from Caledonia, but am open to suggestions.

Mooch, Clown and The Big Log will be riding from Mont Alto on Thursday. Not sure what trails we'll do but I bet we skip Ass Crack. Email me or post here if you need a light. I have one spare. DirtyGirlMaggot???

Thursday night ride recap

Clown, Mooch, Greg (new guy in Cburg) and I crossed 233 and did Half Track, Lost Creek, Lee's Rocks, the Narrows and Park Trail. The guys loved hiking on Half Track so much that they came up with some new names! It was nice riding at night without lights for the first hour. Heck, it wasn't even cold!

I emailed Sandie about our ride. She says - "I want to ride Ass Crack too!!" Hmmm...

It's no wonder nobody ever rides with these guys on Thursday nights. Can you believe they took a new guy on Lee's Rocks and the Narrows IN THE DARK.

Actually the new guy Greg was on a sweet Vassago 29er hardtail and was well prepaired to ride Michaux. Thanks for riding with us Greg.

Thursday Night Ride

Big Log ,the Mooch and myself will be leaving the Mont Alto parking lot @ 5:00. It will be a mellow pace and the weather will be great. Even if you don't have lights you can get an hour and a half ride in.

SUNDAY Pine Grove Furnace.......Meet at the Furnace Parking lot.......Ride time 9am.......I'm not sure if I will be there(not that it maters) . If you can't get a T- Shirt I have socks in my possession for 5 bucks.

I have seen more than one question concerning what the course is like. Well, if you're curious, come out on Saturday, Feb 28, and see what it is.

We will meet and start from the boat launch parking lot off Milesburn Road at Long Pine Reservoir. Ride start time is 9:00 so please be ready to ride by 9:00. We will ride up Milesburn Road to Ridge Road to the actual race start and then ride one lap of the course as a group. After the first lap, if people want to, they can ride it again at their own pace. One lap is 9 miles. We will ride 2-3 miles to reach the course start.

Please let us know if you plan to show up. We will only wait at the start for those that RSVP!

The race proceeds go to help support the Cyclesports Fast Forward Developmental Mountain Bike Team.

Another Swap March 1st!

Just wanted to let every one know there is another swap March 1st near Richmond VA. Yes it is about a 4 hour drive each way. I would be leaving Saturday evening and returning Sunday evening. Anyone interested in going and sharing a table or just going to shop?? Let me know!

I finally got a picture of my Clown Bike. Even after riding it I still consider it a clown bike. My only regret is getting in too late and not getting a good Clown name. all the good ones have already been taken.......Bozo....Clara Bell.........Crusty.

I changed the format and color. I couldn't handle the dark brown and pink anymore. I hope this is acceptable to everyone.

RIDE & MEETING

Hey gang;
This Sunday will be at Mont Alto. Ride time 9am. Following a good ride to clear our heads we will meet at Witters for our once a year meeting. The meeting will start around 1am for those who can't ride but want to come to the meeting.

"Yeah, this is last minute and the MBM meeting is on Sunday, but I've wanted to go to a Women's MTB clinic for a long time now.

Brett is planning on representing us at the meeting and I will give him my ideas...but on to the meat of the post... (we have ideas? holy smokes!--b)

February 19-22…leave Thursday afternoon/evening and return Sunday:

Friday is Free and Women ONLY!! (until 4pm)

Saturday and Sunday are half price $10.50 to ride per day for ladies (could possibly leave Sunday am after breakfast--maybe home in time for the club meeting!)

Rooms at the Holiday Inn are $69 (incl. tax) and max is 4 per room (check out Ray's website)

I have room for 1 more in my car and if more are interested we can caravan.
