First I'd like to thank Brett and Donna Weiser for hosting the PA mountain bike summit at their house. People like the Weisers are the reason I love the mountain biking community. They do a ton of work to promote our sport and are the same folks that organize the Iron Cross races. I don't know how they get it all done.
Most of the people from the summit stayed for the Sunday ride. We split up into 3 groups but it still didn't help.
It was a typical Michaux ride, lots of flats, a ripped off derailleur ( sorry Chris ) , and the group got spread out so big nobody could keep track of everyone. Luckily we all made it back to Big Flat.
This was the high point of the weekend for me. On Saturday my Sibex Ti fork was sacrificed to the rock Gods. So I made a speed run to Merv's and bought a Karate Monkey frame and fork.
So I got to ride a new bike on Sunday, weee I love that new bike feeling.

Glad you made it both days, Jody!
We had almost 40 people for the Sunday group ride. It was a really cool thing.
Thank you to everyone that stayed at our house--You were all the perfect guests! Great weekend, great rides, great people!!
What's the handlebar on that new rig??
BTW, No One I know has broken a Karate Monkey frame or fork. Give it a shot.
The bar is the homemade chromoly with a fresh coat of paint.
Running down Abbey pushing a broken bike is a lousy way to spend a Sunday! I want to say big thanks to Jim Kennedy (I think that was his name?) for giving me a lift from the reservoir to Big Flat. Jim said he knows Bret and Dona well, so I thank you also for having such a great friend!

I'm glad you made it out OK. We were so relieved when your car wasn't in the parking lot when we got back.
You got a ride with Jimmy Kennedy? You're a brave man! Just kidding--he is a good guy. Glad you got a ride back up Birch Run!
I had a blast on Sunday! I love how the main Blog picture is of my backside. Haha, sorry you guys have to look at that.
Does anyone know where I can get some pics from Sundays ride?
