Well, that was quite the experience. Temps in the teens. No snow for the Cat 3 race at 9am.

3-4 inches of snow on the ground by the time the SSers raced at 1pm. Blizzard conditions while we were racing.

I will DEFINITELY do it again next year.

RIDE

Well what is mother nature going to bring us this weekend. Good luck to all you Snot cycle racers. I'm going to try and ride at Caledonia. Meet at the lot and ride time 9am. Stay warm and have fun.

Does anyone have a 17" single speed frame laying around they want to unload? I need it for a 26"...I'm shamefully building a 26" SS behind my 29er's back.

Sunday Rain, Saturday Ride

I expect to ride tomorrow since Sunday is likely to be a washout. I am thinking around 11:00 AM somewhere. If this appeals to anyone, post a reply. I am working tonight and will check back in the morning for any interest.

We've had donations of objects in 2 of these photos and are working on the other.
If we want to do it for free, we'll have to pick them up and get them to the bike park site, http://chambersburgbikepark.com/
We'll need something to lift these off truck and into location.

Anyone have a cushy schedule where you are off work for MLK Day. If so you wanna ride? It can be our MLK Day ride! Any specific times work best? I am thinking maybe 2p, but I could do morning also.

The ride this Sunday will be at Pine Grove. Meet at the furnace, ride time 9am. I'm going to do a new route to the group but I'm sure you all have ridden before. We're going to hog up some of Bret's trails. Hope the weather holds.

Snotcycle Pre-ride

If anyone is interested there is a pre-ride of the Snotcycle course this sunday. You can ride it from 9am to 2pm.

Snotcycle race

Last year a bunch of us MBMers did this race and had a blast. Although it's a race it has a party atmosphere and is more about having a good time. I encourage everyone to come out and join in the fun! Kegley, Trish and I are already signed up to race SS. It's a great SS course! A 16-20T SS gear will work nicely. I will be using a 17T or 18T if conditions aren't too bad. Click on the title to register. Sign up soon before it fills up!

Does anyone have some SPD cleats laying around? I want to try one of them fancy, elite spinner classes Trish and Josh teach at Golds but I'm an eggbeater user.
