2011 bike stuff

I got up Sunday morning and decided to ride even though the temp was just under 20 at my house. By the time I got to the parking lot it was just closer to 12! That may explain the low turnout.
The weather is keeping us inside. So I decided to post some bikey stuff....
I found these while tooling through the latest rag. They might work.

AME heated bike grips.
All total you'll fork out $351 for these hotties!

I'm also watching X Fusion Shox wondering if they'll ever give Fox a run. They offer a nice line of rear shocks but limit their fork selection to 26inch and the elusive 650B. They also have an adjustable seat post in their line up. They've been around for a while. Maybe they'll catch on to big wheels.

Maybe you heard that Titus went under at the end of last year. The company was saved by On One Bikes and is presently in the process of recovery.
The story there is that Chris Cocalis started Titus in 1990 and then sold it in 2001. He then went on to start Pivot which is currently in success mode. Take a look at the Mach 429. It has my vote for a 4inch CVA style bike.

And speaking of adjustable seat posts. It seems they are becoming stock items on several new bikes. Averaging a one pound weight penalty I still think they are worth it. I like the Reverb by Rock Shox. A little pricey at $275 it falls well within the bling category. My bike doesn't have a grill so I guess an adjustable seatpost is the next best thing.
This thing has hydraulic actuation. Nice! Now you gotta bleed your brakes and your post!!

Good Luck to everyone racing at SnotCycle Saturday. Hope you all have a blast.

BTW I heard replacement parts for BOA's are free. So, I'm still liking mine for now.

See you at a ride.

351 for those grips! If they where around 100 I would consider! All they need now is heated shoe insoles!

I'm more interested in a heated chamois. A toasty taint and low sperm count all in one.
