Is it wrong.........

.....to wear your lake winter cycling shoes indoors?
.....while watching television?
.....while surfing the web?

Do they go with dress pants????

I.....I.....can't.....take....them....off.........

They are really nice shoes, aren`t they. My feet stay alot warmer wearing these puppies while riding in sub freezing temperatures. They really shine when you have to hop off and hike-a-bike. I feel like I`m wearing my hiking boots. Although, I do have one complaint. The top Boa cable/lace painfully digs into the top of my foot. It`s like the tongue padding should be alot thicker. I haven`t read or heard anyone else complaining about it. Maybe it`s just me. I did solve the problem by inserting a small piece of an old insole behind the trouble spot. Overall, I love them!

Jody mentioned the same issue with his on Sunday so you aren't the only one Howard.

I've wished Lake would make xc ski boots, hiking/running boots etc.

But my BOAs could use improvement. I won't be in a hurry to buy anything else w/ a BOA.

Yeah, I'll be curious to see how the BOA closure system holds up and feels. These are clearly really high quality boots for sure though.

I'm diggin' mine so far. The Boas don't cut in at all. Might be a difference in foot volume between people? I have a lower volume foot. Perhaps someone with a higher volume foot would experience some pressure from the laces. Camps, what exactly do you not like about the Boas? Just curious.

I have the boa laces on my shoes. My one issue is the adjuster can pop out when you crash. Crashing sucks bad enough without emerging barefoot!
You can make adjustments while on the bike and that rocks.
I've been considering the lake winter boot or maybe snow board boots and pedals with bindings!

I've broken 3 BOA cables so far, and they come loose several times per ride. This, from someone who barely rides in winter any more, but I wear these boots deep into Spring cuz they're so cuddly

Good to know. Guess we'll see how they hold up.

Seen a bunch of the BOA cables break amongst my friends. I just put Snoseal on my Sidis and wear neoprene booties.

However, they should last a long time if you only wear them indoors.

took the lakes on their first cold weather ride this past Tuesday. My feet were comfortable for the first time ever in the mid to low 30's. No toe warmers necessary. Going to be experimenting with different socks, etc. as the weather gets colder. Didn't notice any loosening of the boots at all over our 2.5 hour ride. I think they must have improved the BOA system.
