Dinosaurs Taking Over

I was changing a flat, when Mooch spotted what I think was some sort of prehistoric animal.  He managed this picture of the savage beast.  We got away, no thanks to my super SLOW skills of changing a tube.  Little did I know we would encounter another reptile down the trail, a big black snake.  Being that he scared the crap out of me I decided not to stop to hang with Big Black.

After I split from the group yesterday I was descending Vista when I became engauged in a face to face stand-off with what I beleive was a rabid skunk. I locked up my brakes when I spotted it trotting up the trail straight toward me. I yelled. It kept coming. I threw a stick at it. That didn't phase it either. By this time the skunk was closing in on me fast(like 20 feet). I grabbed my bike, turned around and hauled ass back the way I came, then stopped just past a 3 way single track intersection. Then I watched as it popped around a corner and turned right, onto the trail I wasn't riding and continued on it's way. I'm sure this skunk was either rabid or just simply wacked. I couldn't help but to think of the honey badger while this was happening!

Sounds like some crazy rides happened Sunday. I hope we don't run into that skunk this week!

Did you guys happen to have your Camelbacks filled with up IPA's on this ride? Hahaha

Wow! I was on the same ride and didn't see any of that. I did see a lot of mushrooms that were the size of small plates. Perhaps you guys tried some of those!?
