Sunday Ride, July 12--Big Flat
Dale and Sue are pursuing non-bike activities, which may include the consumption of mass quantities of alcohol. They have asked me to schedule the ride. The Dark Hollow Race is happening on July 19, a week from Sunday. This year's course has not been posted. Let's ride last year's 25 mile course. Meet at Big Flat Parking Lot. Ride start at 9:00 AM. Since when is "the consumption of mass quantities of alcohol" a non-bike activity?? Alcohol burns hotter and saves my carb reserves...
Ok Mooch, you fill your camelback with IPA and I'll bring water and we'll see who waits for who at the rest stops! ;-)
Hmmm, most folks I know will wait for (or follow) the IPA!!
The 2009 dark hollow race maps are now posted.
Same as last year.
Somethin' ain't jivin'. Compare the 40 map and 25 map. Race day should be interesting.
It's not the same as last year, especially for the 40.
I think there is something wrong with the 25 map. Upon hitting Fegley, it should go right down to Birch Run, then up Birch Run to the powerline, then left and right to finish on trail.
Climbing that MASH trail from Milesburn is gonna be fun...
yeah, that's what i was thinking. but it's either that or climb the canada hollow singletrack if the course direction is reversed. they gotcha coming and going.
