What gears are you running on your Rig?
32 x 21 most of the time. Probably switching to 32 x 20 for the winter. Rides are shorter.
I don't have a Rig, so not sure my answer counts...I do the opposite: 32x21 in winter, 32x20 in summer (when I'm supposedly 'stronger'.
With my wealth of experience on the Rig (2 rides now). I am using 32x20. Not being a "superior" rider like Mooch and Camps I do not have multiple gears. Well actually I have the 18 that originally came with the Rig. Maybe Mooch will take the 18 so I can try to keep up with him. Mooch - Bad news - can't make Wednesday as I am in Indiana on business. Good news - my light is now working. No more using Dave's non-biking I can't see what is in front of me light. Anyone planning to ride Thursday night? I could start as early as 4pm or later. Whatever works.
I run 32x20 on my Rig year round since I'm too cheap to buy a second gear. A 21t in the winter is smart since there usually more rolling resistance due to soft ground, snow, etc. Mooch can hook you up with some Nancy gears and pedals from the Terry company.Wed is looking good for a ride and I'm planning to ride Thu night too.
I plan on riding...with gears. Doing some SS research and thanks for the input.
