Last year a bunch of us MBMers did this race and had a blast. Although it's a race it has a party atmosphere and is more about having a good time. I encourage everyone to come out and join in the fun! Kegley, Trish and I are already signed up to race SS. It's a great SS course! A 16-20T SS gear will work nicely. I will be using a 17T or 18T if conditions aren't too bad. Click on the title to register. Sign up soon before it fills up!

I'm signed up for SS.
The SS is only 2 laps. that blows!
that's because everyone knows SS riders are really slow. or they get bored easily and start looking for beer.
I'm not slow, I'm mildly retarded.
Clown - Why not use your Iron Cross bike???
Mooch - Only mildly?
okay, if it's only 2 laps, I say we drink a beer before and after ever lap!
1 at the start line, 2 after the first lap, and then pound one before crossing the finish.
any takers?
there you go, reinforcing a stereotype
woooo hoooooo!!!! Party!!!! I'm signing up next week. I have to go back to defend my title - reference profile pic!
This venue is also host to the Leesburg Bakers Dozen April 17 and HOTcycle July 10.
I drank just as heavily back in the days of broken derailleurs and squishy frames.
Don't forget to throw the empty beer cans at the superior riders!
Ha! I don't have to worry about getting hit. Unless you throw them at sandbaggers too....
if donna reads these comments, she'll finally understand why i hit myself in the head with beer cans.
I'm in, all official-like now.
Mooch - are you breakin out the fairy costume for the race? If so I'll have to come up with something creative as well. Trish & Chuck should roll with their pimp outfits they never got to wear.
The fairy costume succumbed to the rigors of mtb'ing in Michaux and is rotting in a landfill somewhere.
I might drag some empty beer cans behind my bike with a sign on my back that says "just drunk".
haha. Nice. Although that might be a cluster of an idea in the SS category. Last I checked there were 51 male SS's signed up. That's crazy
sounds like we'll have a lot of people from the area going down. Anyone like the idea of a carpool/caravan there? Maybe a new thread for this?
I'll have room for two more bikes, and 3 more people, plenty of cargo space too. I'll be bringing a cooler and grill as well. Who's in?
