A few surprises today

Went out and rode the Maximus 10 mile loop today, it was surprisingly dry, probably the driest I have ever seen it.  There's some really good single track out there that needs ridden, but I suggest we do some clean up first. I'd say there's at least 30 large trees across the trails from the october snow storm that will need cut out, and numerous small ones too.  Anyone have some time weekday mornings to assist in some cleanup?

Three mile was amazingly dry for this time of year as well. Kind of worrisome, really, but great for riding!

I'd suspect lack of snow is the reason so many usually wet trails are dry. Shawn, do you have a chainsaw & a rain coat? Sounds like we could get wet if we work on it tomorrow morning, but I'd be willing to go. We could meet up at the parking lot at whatever time suits you. I'm available from 8am until noon during the week.

Sorry I missed your message last night kinda glad actually nasty morning! I'm busy the rest of this week but maybe a day next week if it works for you. I do have a chainsaw. Monday and Tuesday won't work for me but I can probably get out Wednesday or Thursday.

Let's see what day looks best weather wise, but either one will work for me. Thanks Shawn!

just so you know, the 10mile loop for Maximus is different this year. Maps indicate it'll be an old school loop out in the Fender direction, not the 'Adam's Cnty' loop you rode.

Tomi, I knew they were changing the race up this year. I'd hate to see some good trail lost from lack of use.

The best place to park for easy access to the work that needs done would be down along Pine Grove-Bendersville Rd. where the single track crosses the road. There's plenty of work in both directions from there.
