Trail Work Day Sunday, April 21, 9:00 am! Be There!

Hi again!
We are planning a trail work day to open the last section of the Wildcat Reroute near Big Flat. This new trail will become an extension of Abigail, making Abby run from the power line near Big Flat the whole way to the Long Pine Reservoir. We hope that with enough people, we can cut in the new section completely with one work session. But for that, we need people!
So, we are planning the trail work day in lieu of the Sunday club ride. Meet on Birch Run Road at the power line crossing at 9:00. This meeting point may change based on how many people are planning to show, so keep an eye peeled to the blog!
We are hoping to be finished with the work and hiking back out around 1:00 or 2:00, but people can stay as long or as short as they want or can. Every little bit helps!
After the work session, the club will be providing burgers and dogs, chips, etc., for grub so stick around and enjoy the food!
If you can make it, please bring the following if possible:
Gloves
Water
Snacks
Hand saw
Hand pruners
Rake (we will definitely need rakes!--metal leaf rakes work well, or garden rakes)
There will also be tools provided.
We will need at least one trimmer with a circular blade, too!
Again, we really hope to see you out there this Sunday to help complete this really important connector and reopen the ridge trail from Big Flat to Long Pine!
Please leave a comment if you are planning on attending the work day so we can plan better! If you also received an email, you can respond to that instead, please.
Hope to see you this Sunday!
