Friday "beginner" ride with buc n' mooch

Wow - change one letter in the title of this post and it takes on a whole new character!

Buccheezy and I will be heading out of the upper lot at Pine Grove Furnace (where Maximus starts) around 5 p.m. Friday night. Plan is to ride the race trails around the top of the mountain so we stay "dry and clean" and don't get Buc's new girly bike dirty.

These aren't really "beginner" trails, but they've been racing beginners on them for years! It will be a fun pace and we plan to be back to the lot before dark.

Hope to see you there.

EDIT:

Obligatory disclaimer: This is not really a BEGINNER ride. If you've never been on a mountain bike before this isn't the ride for you. If you are squeamish and can't stand the sight of blood this ride isn't for you. If you are offended by gratuitous nudity this ride isn't for you...

I'm looking forward to another "beginner" ride. Anyone invite fuji jim along?

Those trails won't be dry or clean. They're always a mess.

Better trails, and certainly easier ones, would be across 233 like we did a week or so ago. I consider a beginner ride to be something like climbing the road, and descending 4-logs or Turtle or Buckets or something. Someone could charge you with false advertising, or bait-and-switch....

We're riding Shake-n-Bake, Fender, My Favorite and some of Hidden out and back. They're not for total newbs but they always send the beginners on those trails in the races and only a few have been hauled to Grave Ridge and buried.

I could trick them into climbing Dead Womans, 3 Mile, Rattlesnake, etc.

Bucheesy has to show the ladies how he moves, you can't do that on
some lame fire road.

It's all about impressing the ladies!

Maybe "beginner ride" isn't quite right. How about "lots of teeth rattling and bone breaking trails that will be ridden and walked by beginners ride"?

Oh, so you're doing the old-school IronMasters beginners loop...not the more recent Maximus beginners loop which now goes across Bendersville Rd and out Piney Mtn Ridge Rd Ext.

Next question should be:
Why would you drive so far after work to ride those ATV trails?

Someone should get their ride leader card pulled.

There must be some other latent reason to ride those trails. Maybe someone stashed a pair of thongs in a tree. And maybe the girls wanna see what the boyz would look like??

Clown knows the t-shirt . . .

I usually stash a bananna hammock under my shorts on every ride.

You can blame all of this on Shorts. She requested northern Michaux for something different. The Ironmasters trails will be new to her, dry(ish) and not too technical. Hey, she rode most of Raccoon Run! We'll do the new beginner loop sometime when it's dry. Seriously - this was never intended to be a "beginner" ride but more of a classic Michaux ride with beginners at a sane pace.

Fine print: The 80/20 rule will be in effect at every stop. I hope you know your way around Michaux in the dark. ;-)

The reason for the ride isn't so latent, some say it's the most powerful force in the universe.
It's the "vaginal pull". This force makes rational thinking impossible for guys like Bucsleezy.

This is a great post and comment string.

bucsexy said...

I don't like how this string is going. You guys are pounding on me like I'm the new guy in prison. When have I ever picked on any of you? Eh, nevermind.

Clown sure hit that nail on the head! Not much I can say to that. If the shoe fits, right?

Shoe or bananna hammock - whichever works...

14 comments on a ride that hasn't even happened yet. Hope the ride tonight is as good as the posts.

I expect a full video ride report.

What kind of "beginner" ride is this?
Is this some more of Mooch's prison lingo?

bucsexy said...

I'll have to see if I have time to remove the camera from the vent in my bedroom.

Make sure you dub some sweet slap-bass lines over top of the action.
