BIKE GODS

Well last week I made a little quip about how no one gets hurt on my watch. The bike gods looked upon me and said bull shit. I broke my hand on a little tree that got in my way so I'll be down for a little while. Make sure you ride chickadee Sunday so you can meet Trevis & Rob at the top. I don't know how long it will take to heal this but have a good time and be careful. I had two injury's thurs. night me and one of our tues. night riders. He cut his finger.
Sorry bike gods I take all that I said back.

That sucks Chief. I hope you heal quickly. Look on the bright side. It'll be a little longer til your Gary Fisher breaks now.

I'm in the same boat chief. It's gonna be a little longer before I can break my GF too. I consider myself being hurt on your watch even though you weren't there...

Geeze, Dale. You break easily. Were you made by Gary Fisher?

Sorry to hear your injury is more serious than suspected. Godspeed on the recovery! My wife was interested about what we talked about last evening. I can't remember which tribe you are with though?!

Hey mooch
I didn't know you were hurt so bad. Maybe we can get together and drink beer and tell stories. When we get back to riding they'll wonder who the fat guys.

WOW Chief!Get well soon. I guess your injury was beyond duct taping. I have replenished my supply for the next duct tape event. Another female rider... blond, short, made a comment today at work, oops... gave that away, about the 'hurt' men. But I can't repeat it on the Blog.

Can't wait to hear it. That sort of message is better delivered in person anyway. Should be worth a few laughs.

I was going to follow that little blond but I had to be a manly man and pass her. And no matter what she says I didn't cry.

Hey anyone (including the injured and infirm) want to do some light trail work tomorrow morning? Thinking of walking from my house to machete some of the thorns that we would run into on Sundays ride. Beer and pool to follow.

Sorry to hear Chief; get better soon. I am not injured, however I am jobless and therefore cannot pay a babysitter to watch my kids while I bike. Hence no biking for me either. Anyone got a job for a chick who rides mt bikes with a degree? Will ride for babysitting money, hehe!

Hey Dale. All of these problems can be eliminated if we remove all of the little trees and rocks that clutter our trails. Rocks and trees are just too dangerous to bike around. Let's organize some trail days and make our sport safe!

Shorts--stop complaining. When my kids were small, I put them in a bike trailer and pulled them. Of course, that was on pavement, but with your skill and endurance, and once we remove the little rocks and trees, I don't think you would have any difficulty hauling those kids through the forest.

Hope you heal well and quick Chief and Mooch.
My GF blew the rear shock out!? GB Bike shop said they'd have to send it back to Fox for repair.
I may be missing a few rides. Anyone have a spare bike I could use?
I may just throw away the shock and bolt in a piece of 2X4 and get on with it.
See you at a ride soon.

Dale hope you heal quick. Consider mounting some Tri aero bars and join us on the ride. Steve will sweep the trail ahead of you. Spent the morning trimming some thorns but overlooked the rocks and little trees.

That will be good to clear all the stuff but then wouldn't we be the same as roadies. Not to step on anyone's toes!!!! I also decided to get a Gary Fisher tattoo. Not sure if they would warrant a 57 year old.

Dale some beer and some duct tape can do wonders. Best wishes on a speedy recovery.

Rob - sorry I did not catch the posting before and thus I did not come and help with trail work. I will have to get you my cell number and maybe next type I can help. See you Sunday.
