Tuscarora Take Down

Ray and the Perry County boys put on an Awesome ride/party this past weekend. Here are some pics from it. I saw many fellow MBMer's there. It was a great time.

Coming down yellow ridge thursday I ran into one biggest rattle snakes I've seen in years. I was about half way down in the flat fast section. He was laying right on the trail ready to strike. I had to lift my leg so he wouldn't bit me. So be aware when riding. I took some pics. of him on my phone but I could'nt down load them to my computor.

RIDE

Sunday will be at the Mud Banks. Ride time 9Am.
If you know anyone having problems getting on the blog tell them to rewrite there URL. I was having problems. It kept telling me my URL was to large, so I rewrote it and restored it in my favorites.

Buttery Rocks on Secret???

What is up with the buttery rocks on Secret?
Friday I climbed Secret from Caledonia, then rode a bunch of the Mont Alto trails and bombed down Secret, all in wet, rainy conditions.
By the time I had reached 233 on the first climb, I was having thoughts of turning back. My tires were completely sliding off anything that wasn`t perfectly level. I`ve ridden this trail in the snow and got better traction.
I decided to continue on to the Mont Alto stuff and found that I could ride the rocks on those trails like they were dry compared to Secret`s rocks. WTF???

DirtFest 2011!

Anyone coming up to Raystown for DirtFest? If so drop by to see the Hughey clan in the Ridge campground at site 41. I even have a bed or two available tonight and there is also room for at least 1 tenter, maybe two, if anyone is interested.

Tuesday Ride

Ride time is 5:35pm. (That's Bucsexy time for 5:30)

Reroute

I rode the reroute today and there were horse tracks and piles on the first half. For how wet its been there wasn't much damage. I guess since they are not climbing they aren't tearing it up too bad.

There's also been some ramping, rock removal and a few go arounds already forming (minor). All that was on the first half. The second leg looks good. Lines are starting to form.

Well looks like rain Sunday. So I'll make the ride at Caledonia again and we can do secret trail if it isn't raining to hard. Ride time 9am. Bucksexy ride time 8am!

Start at the bottom of Quarry Gap Road. Ride time 5:30.

I'm looking at 6 o'clock on Saturday May 7th - that's the Saturday after Maximus.
I will be providing my home-brews, which I've been doing for over a year.
Plenty to choose from and enjoy. You are also free to BYO any commercial brews to drink or share.
I figure we'll provide dogs n burgs, if everybody can bring a little side-dish of some sort.
