How far of 233 is the meeting area for this ride?

We usually meet at the furnace in Pine Grove. Can't miss it.

Just call me Emory red legs after todays ride. That 1500 block trail is defiantly over grown. Don't want to see that trail again until winter time when the bushes can't be taller than me.

We need to schedule some trail work sessions.
Many of our precious trails need alot of TLC. From trimming to anti-erosion bars to just the removal of random debris.
1500 and Traverse, out to Vista are just two of the many trails that are literally growing shut.
The bottoms of both Scientology and Yellow Ridge are already well on their way to becoming washed out messes.
So how about we get out there and do some work!
Any suggestions for workdays and times? Saturday mornings? Weekday evenings?
Did you break the frame, Mooch? If so, we`ll have matching Rigs.

Not really, if I go that way mine will be 2009 parts on a 2011 frame. That ought to be downright fugly, don't ya think? Ideally I want Fisher geo in a steel frame - singlespeed of course. What are my options?

They redesigned the entire bike for 2011. I don`t know what could be transferred over and what not.
Most of your parts are silver, right? Personally, I don`t think it would look bad.
I think they may have adressed the cracking issues. My frame has withstood over 4 months of my abuse and you know how I ride.
Mooch, i think your options include r-e-s-e-a-r-c-h.
Mooch - just use some Super Glue and duct tape. It'll be fine.

i would love to help out with a little trail maintainance. can't do saturdays, but wed/thurs nights and sundays work.
might be best to wait til the temps drop a little.
just schedule it and make a plan - people will show up.

check out the Sawyer. steel, rigid, and SSable. plus, your man-parts will love that slotted toptube.
not sure about the geometry Mooch but you might want to look at the S.I.R. (Steel Is Real) from Niner. I rode an S.I.R. SS at DirtFest and it was pretty sweet.

I had an MCR setup 1x9 for a little over 2 years and can vouch for the sweetness of the ride. Definitely a better designed frame than my Fisher X-cal, now Paragon. I am now on my 3rd Fisher 29er frame due to breaks since 2006, and one was used almost exclusively as a road commuter!
That being said, I also broke my MCR right around the 2 year mark. Cracked at the chainstay/seatstay junction of the driveside rear axle. Seemed to be awfully thin amount of material there. I am 6'4" and 205 without gear, so my propensity to break things is high. Not sure how long any frame will last in Michaux.
