Wildcat reroute closed!

The new Wildcat reroute opened up this month. However, after a recent environmental survey the new trail was closed because it illegally crosses a section of protected leaf covered rocks and logs. The survey concluded that the very rare, leaf covered rocks and logs aren't found anywhere else in Michaux. In addition it noted that the moss growing on the very rare rocks can only be found on the north side of most trees. The surveyors plan to clear cut the entire area so no further damage can be done by standing timber.

Leaf covered rocks are exceedingly rare on the east coast, so this is probably a good thing, as they provide important shelter for rare beetles. It's a shame that we have to lose a brand new trail though...

I hope this works or they will have to breed leaf covered rocks and logs in captivity and then repopulate the forest.

I was not aware that those leaf-covered rocks n logs were environmentally protected. Maybe that explains why nobody makes any tires that work well on them.

Please Mooch...this is no laughing matter! Serious stuff. Leaf covered rocks may go extinct as you sit by and cackle. Do not cross me I will get Thor to bring his hammer down on you. And maybe if you are lucky some day I will ride again.
